Create buddy icons for AOL Instant Messenger™
Using IconEdit2 icon editor you can easily create buddy icons and send them directly to AOL Instant Messenger™ (AIM):
Here's how:
- Select "File|48x48 Icon" menu command (buddy icons should be 48x48);- Click Open button or select "File|Open..." menu command;
- Locate your favorite BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG or PNG image (it can be your scanned photo);
- Select "File|Send to AOL Instant Messenger™" menu command*.
You're done!
*This command is working for AIM version 5.x, and should work for earlier versions (untested); if you are using Netscape version of AIM, then use AIM menu to set buddy icon. AIM Triton users: Older version of AIM Triton does not support custom buddy icons. AOL is working on this issue - the latest beta version of AIM Triton has this functionality - see http://beta.aol.com/projects.php?project=triton .
